Bank and insurance provider Pattyn & Callens has three managing directors who are regularly on the road, and one employee who works in the office. In order to provide their 3.000 customers with the best possible service, it’s crucial that they can consult experts and colleagues by phone. is a successful company, which continues to grow. The office is mainly active in and around Harelbeke, but the company has customers in all Flemish provinces. In recent years, telephone, mobile phone, fax and Internet traffic at bank and insurance provider Pattyn & Callens evolved into something that became quite difficult to control. Peggy Pattyn explains: “There are four of us and our telecom solutions were not geared to one another. We had a number of landlines in the office, and each of us had our own mobile phone. Unfortunately, we all had different mobile phone providers. As a result, we used to spend 2.000 to 2.500 euros on telephony every two months. We thought that this was a bit much. What’s more, our accountant used to receive invoice after invoice in a format that was almost incomprehensible and thus very hard to check. But we couldn’t immediately come up with an alternative, because we didn’t have the necessary expertise, let alone time to put things in order.
